The Dayton Motor Car Building
Historic Character. Modern Possibilities.
A revitalized industrial landmark in the heart of Dayton’s Oregon East District.
Located in the Oregon East District
The Dayton Motor Car Building sits in the Oregon East District, adjacent to one of Dayton's most vibrant and actively redeveloping urban neighborhoods. Steps from popular spots like The Dublin Pub, Wheat Penny, Sueño, and Troll Pub at The Wheelhouse, it's a walkable address with genuine energy around it.
Quick access to SR 35 and I 75 keeps the rest of the region within easy reach.
Built in 1908 to produce the luxury Stoddard-Dayton automobile, this building has seen more history than most. A Stoddard-Dayton paced the very first Indianapolis 500 in 1911. By the 1950s, Nabisco was manufacturing millions of ice cream cones within these same walls. Today, the Dayton Motor Car Building has been reimagined for a new generation of innovators, while the exposed concrete, original windows, and industrial bones remain exactly as they were.
Some buildings have character. This one earned it.
